2019 Acura RDX exterior and interior
New 2019 Acura RDX will have various new styling on the outside. Acura’s signature Jewel Eye LED headlights were incorporated as well as LED taillights. Front fascia is completely remodeled, with newly redesigned three-dimensional grill. On the rear end, beside taillights, Acura changed the fascia as well. The exterior of the 2019 Acura RDX is further embellished with new design of its 18-inch wheels. Besides this, the RDX SUV will continue with same styling tweaks as before, including elegant body lines and great color palette.
Interior will mainly benefit from additional features added on the list of standards. The look of the cabin will be refreshed with new interior trim, which combines black with high-contrast silver color. Added features include heatable front seats and second row climate control, which are now standard. Besides that, driver and safety aids are also added, while optional equipment packages get few additional features, and upgrades of the existing ones, such as AcuraWatch system. The trim levels are the same as before, which means it will be available in two variants, including base and base with Technology Package.
2019 Acura RDX engine and fuel economy
Changes made under the hood do not mean new engine. In fact, it current 3.5-liter V6 engine will continue to be offered throughout the line-up. However its output is increased and it is now capable to deliver 279 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. Transmission is the same, it is a 6-speed automatic. Front wheel drive is standard drivetrain, while customers could opt for all wheel drive. AWD system is also upgraded for 2019 Acura RDX, and it is now capable to deliver more power to rear wheels, which will influence the performance of RDXs with AWD. Acura’s estimated fuel economy is 20/29 mpg city/hwy with FWD and one mile less with AWD.
2019 Acura RDX price and release date
Acura will be presented its 2019 Acura RDX in 2019 Chicago Auto Show, while its sales will start in spring of 2019. The price will feature an increase due to changes made on the model, so we expect new RDX to start slightly under $43,000, which around $2,000 more than the current $41,000 base price tag.
